Frontend Engineer – Spain

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

•Programming of modern Web 2.0 frontends using JavaScript and AJAX
•Implementing new features, maintaining and updating our platform within the context of Hamburg-based projects
•Assurance of cross-browser compatibility

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•Experience of working in small, close-knit teams deploying agile methodologies
•Excellent JavaScript skills
•Advanced knowledge of DOM Manipulation and AJAX
•Familiarity with frameworks such as Prototype or jQuery
•Very good HTML and CSS skills
•Ability to work well in a team, particularly with developers and product managers
•Good English skills
•Ability to self-organize and willingness to take the initiative
•Ideally with UNIX shell and version control software experience
•Passion for technology and current trends
•Knowledge of Ruby and Ruby on Rails, Perl programming, or other similar programming languages would be a plus
