KB Europe is currently advising on an opening for a Mobile Visual Designer. Our client is one of Europe’s most progressive companies specializing in Social and Business networking. The position is based at my client’s European Headquarters in Hamburg, Germany.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver visual design concepts for user interfaces, applications, and websites for mobile devices
• Design and produce pixel-perfect screen designs and graphical assets such as icons and pictograms
• Explore and apply innovative graphical approaches
• Work closely with our mobile development team to create a stunning mobile experience
• Mentor other visual designers in terms of designing for mobile devices

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• A degree in interface, media, graphic, product or industrial design or similar field (or equivalent work experience)
• At least one year of industry experience in designing mobile applications
• A keen interest in improving the entire product and not just the user interface
• Creative thinking, excellent visual design skills, and an interest in social networking
• An affinity for mobile technologies and portable devices
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Certain degree of proficiency in at least a few related skills (e.g., Flash, JavaScript, Motion Design)
• Fluent in English; knowledge of German not required but advantageous
